Privacy Policy
duetiva is a questionnaire couples use to explore their intimate life: each partner answers privately, and answers are compared under the reveal rules shown in the app. Because of what duetiva is, your answers are intimate by nature. This policy explains what we store, why, and what control you have. The short version: we collect as little as possible, we never sell or share your data, and you can erase everything yourself at any time.
What we collect
- Account: a username (required) and optionally an email address, used only for password recovery and — if we ever need to reach you — important service notices. You do not need to give us your real name.
- Your answers to questionnaire questions, including which questions you answered and when. These may reveal information about your relationship and intimate preferences — so-called sensitive or special-category data. We store them solely to provide the product: showing you and your invited partner your mutual answers under the rules described in the app.
- Technical basics: errors and pseudonymous usage statistics (page views, feature usage, coarse region) to keep the product working and improve it. These statistics are not linked to your account and never include your answers. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not use advertising trackers.
What we never do
- Sell or rent your data.
- Show your answers to anyone except the partner you explicitly invited, under the reveal rules shown in the app.
- Use your answers for advertising, profiling, or training AI models.
Where your data lives
Like almost every online service, duetiva runs on rented infrastructure: a small number of service providers store and process data on our behalf, acting only on our instructions — they may not use your data for their own purposes. The current list is on the subprocessors page.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account at any time from the account menu in the app. This permanently erases your account, all your answers, and every questionnaire you share with a partner (for both of you — a shared questionnaire cannot exist half-erased). Deletion is immediate and irreversible. We may also erase accounts that appear abandoned, under the same rules.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the EU GDPR and US state privacy laws), you have the right to access, correct, export, and erase your personal data, and to complain to your local data protection authority. The in-app deletion covers erasure; for the rest, email privacy@duetiva.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will show a notice in the app before the change takes effect.
